Built to support participation, not just presence
ABOUT CARE AND BEYOND
Care and Beyond Disability Services was created from a simple observation:
Many young people are not lacking support.
They are struggling with participation and confidence in everyday environments.
This often leads to:
- Avoidance of community participation
- Reduced social engagement
- Difficulty with routine and independence
- Anxiety in unfamiliar settings
- Challenges transitioning into adulthood
We focus on rebuilding participation confidence through structured real-world experiences.
MEET THE TEAM
Lakesh
Founder
Care and Beyond Disability Services was founded by Lakesh with a focus on helping young people build real confidence in everyday environments. Through experience working with young people during their teenage and early adult years, it became clear that many were not struggling with ability, but with participation and confidence. Many were capable, but hesitant in unfamiliar environments, uncertain in social settings, and often disconnected from everyday community life.
Care and Beyond was created to address this gap directly. The focus is not just delivering support. It is helping young people feel more comfortable participating in real life.
Lakesh wanted to create the kind of support many young people actually connect with: real-world, relatable, structured, and focused on helping participation feel safer and more achievable over time.

OUR APPROACH
We believe confidence is built through repetition, not pressure.
We use:
- Real-world environments
- Consistent exposure
- Familiar routines
- Low-pressure participation experiences
The goal is simple:
Help everyday participation feel safer, easier, and more achievable over time.
OUR DIFFERENCE
We do not start with independence expectations.
We start with:
- Comfort
- Engagement
- Participation tolerance
Then we build upward from there.
WHO WE ARE BEST SUITED FOR
We are often a strong fit for young people who:
- Avoid unfamiliar environments or community settings
- Struggle with participation consistency
- Feel overwhelmed in group or structured environments
- Have disengaged from traditional social programs
- Need low-pressure environments before larger goals feel achievable
- Are transitioning into adulthood and need support building confidence in everyday life
- Need support developing routines, consistency, and participation behaviours before employment becomes realistic
Our approach focuses on helping participation feel more manageable before expecting independence outcomes.
